The conference days opened up a platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions to promote sustainability and innovation in urban environments. The municipal "Vienna Day" focussed on the exchange of best practices at administrative level with the panels "Adaptation to climate change" and "Diversity and respectful coexistence" – joint project opportunities were discussed on both topics in the subsequent breakout sessions. The "Science Day" was dedicated to the topics of "Green city" and "Artificial intelligence" – after the keynote speeches, experts from universities of both cities discussed the current challenges on the topics on the panels. The exchange of knowledge and technologies is of great importance for both the universities and the city administrations in order to improve the quality of life of the residents in the (participating) cities and to secure it for the future.
